Known as guitarist, keyboardist, backup vocalist and co-founder of 80’s rock legend band and namesake of Edward and his brother Alex in Van Halen. Peavey and Eddie shared a partnership from 1996-2004 to spawn the likes of the Wolfgang signature EVH guitar, as well as signature 5150 model amps which led to be so popular. With Eddie’s exit from Peavey sparked the birth of the ever popular 6505 model.
The original Peavey EVH Wolfgang model was a top of the line USA made instrument. Featured a carved top, body binding, volume and tone knobs, three-way pick up toggle selector, Peavey special designed EVH humbucking pickups. Also sporting an Oil finished birds eye maple neck and fingerboard with two graphite reinforced truss rods, 10 degree tilt to the headstock, schaller M6 mini tuners, basswood body, some featuring a maple top. Either a licensed Floyd Rose Tremelo (with D-Tuna) or tune o matic stop tail bridge. Peavey made more budget friendly special edition models and even higher end custom shop Wolfgang models.
Eddie inspired countless guitar players of yesterday’s and today’s guitar players including Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne/ Black Label Society fame) as well as Dimebag Darrell of (Pantera/ Damageplan fame). Eddie has ties to Shreveport and spent much time in this city during his relationship with now Ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli.
