This feature on signature guitars showcasing Eric Clapton
Eric Clapton’s signature “Blackie” stratocaster is based upon Eric’s strat he started playing in the early 70’s kicking starting Clapton’s legendary solo career. The iconic strat was cobbled together from the best of three 1950’s models stratocasters purchased from a Nashville based guitar shop. It was played heavily from 1973-1985 where it was retired. In 1988 it was reissued as a signature stratocaster. Now almost two decades later you can place Eric Clapton’s signature strat in your hands today here at SMC. You’ll see features and hear tones to turned “slow hand” into iconic electric “God”.
